Organizations have historically implemented isolated applications that don’t share information well. Integration between this type of silo applications is difficult. MOSS provides the ability to build “Composite Applications” that integrate data between existing silo applications. This session will cover the steps and code required to build composite applications and dashboards using SharePoint Enterprise Search and the Business Data Catalog. This will include the process for creating data connections and BDC application definition files for connecting to a variety of systems then using data from those systems within an application to build a composite application.
