Source Code Analysis
Source Code Analysis (SCA) is the future of software development. SCA tools provide powerful insights into the lexicon of code far beyond anything that can be accomplished with simple pattern matching and text searching. SCA functionality is popuping up everywhere (Jet Brains Resharper, Red Gate SQL refactor, etc.) This session will look at some of the commercially availble products for source code analysis and refactoring. Then we will dive deep and look at parse generators for creating your own source code analysis and refactoring tools, cross compilers etc. Syntax is Dead long live the Lexicon!
