Today many companies are looking at cloud computing as a viable infrastructure for their production environments. I will address some of the key requirements enterprise customers are looking for in their cloud infrastructure including high availability, scalability, and security via cloud computing.
Tim Dodd is currently an Enterprise Account Executive at Hosting.com. He has over 10 years of experience in IT related fields. His past IT experiences include working at Diamond Technologies, Digital Health, and the University of Delaware as a Software Developer. Tim’s technical background is primarily developing enterprise applications in .Net and Java. Since focusing on sales he has had experience working in the virtual space including HyperV and VMWare. |

Microsoft has had a number of new releases and product announcements during the PDC and Mix 10 with many interesting implications to strategies and development direction. We will take a look at some of the most interesting of these new products and announcements. Come and enjoy a smorgasbord of technology including Visual Studio 2010, .NET 4, ASP.NET MVC2, Silverlight 4 and RIA Services, Windows Azure and Windows 7 Mobile and see where Microsoft is going and what you may want to spend some time learning.
Mitch Ruebush is the Home Loans Development Team Leader at ING DIRECT, fsb. He is responsible for defining and coordinating the architecture for the applications and infrastructure at ING DIRECT. He has written a number of books and articles on .NET and enjoys spending his time as a father of two great kids, a hobbyist film maker, playing piano and saxophone and trying to write a video game. |
