After cutting his programming teeth on Paradox for Dos in the suburbs of Chicago, Sean Allison followed the PC world database path from there to Microsoft's Access and Visual Basic platforms. His consulting has taken him to Chicago, Arkansas, Louisiana and Southern California. Just coming back from a 5 year programming hiatus, Sean has been diving in to the .NET environment for the past year. Jason Beres is the author of "Teach Yourself Visual Studio .NET 2003 in 21 Days" from Sams, the co-author of the "Visual Basic .NET Bible" and the "C# Bible" from Wiley, and a contributor to "SQL Server 2000: The Complete Reference" from Osborne/McGraw-Hill and "ASP.NET @ Work: 10 Enterprise Applications" from Wiley. Jason is currently working on "Teach Yourself Visual C# .NET in 21 Days" from Sams, which is due out in the Q3 2003. Jason was also a speaker at Microsoft Developer Days 1999, 2000 and 2001, the largest regional developer centric conference that Microsoft has each year. Chuck Boyce is a Database Administrator for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, PA. He began working with database technologies in 1998, working with Sybase on Unix platforms. Judy Calla has been a programmer since 1989, actively involved in web and Windows .NET programming since 2003. She is the group leader for the Central Pennsylvania .NET Users Group, and regularly presents the beginner sessions at the group’s monthly meetings. Miguel A. Castro, Microsoft MVP, has been a developer for almost 20 years now (yes back in the day of TRS-80s and Ataris). He was using VB since 1.0 and .NET since the first Beta. Though he has a background in both Windows and Web applications, most of his .NET development has been in ASP.NET with a special focus in the area of custom WebControl development. He spoke at a few user groups in the area and is a regular moderator at BoF panels at local users group. Don Demsak (aka DonXML) is a Microsoft MVP and an independent consultant who specializes in architecting and programming multi-tier applications using Microsoft’s .Net framework. Sharon Dooley has worked with SQL Server since its first release. Her major areas of specialization are database design and performance tuning, though she also does a lot of administration. She has a consulting practice and teaches and writes courses for Learning Tree International, where she is SQL Server Curriculum Manager. Ms. Dooley is the author of SQL Server 7.0 Essential Reference (New Riders), the lead author of Professional SQL Server 6.5 Administration (Wrox) and is a contributing author for the forthcoming SQL Server 2005 Bible. Todd Fine is a Technical Programs Director at RDA Corporation, a consulting firm specializing in software and IT services at the highest level. He is also Microsoft's Regional Director for the city of Atlanta. Todd has been at RDA since 1994, working most recently as Managing Director of the company's Atlanta office and Director of the company’s Security and Integration practice before being assigned to his current position. Prior to joining RDA, Todd served as Software Manager for the Naval Research Lab's Special Projects group in the Tactical Electronic Warfare division in Washington, D.C., where he led the software design and management of the Navy's Specific Emitter Identification program.
